Independence Day

So here are some pictures from our 4th of July day. We were obviously not very good with the camera, there were not a lot of good photos to choose from. But from what we did get, here are a few. Check out Trish's blog for some other pictures.

Brooke enjoyed the overly large umbrella that my parents brought to the parade. Although the sun wasn't out in full force, it was still nice to have some extra shade.

Hailee is being very difficult with pictures lately, she always turns or runs away from the camera when she sees it, we try to sneak some pictures in, but she is fast.

Hailee and I watching the parade in Clearfield. It was actually a really good parade and I think everyone had fun.

Trish's parade pose, taking pictures of the kids.

In the evening we decided to have a water party at our house, we had food, friends, family and fun. I think the kids enjoyed it the most.

Hailee loved to have Jantzen and Josh pull her around in the pool. She laughed her head off when either of them would fall down.

We had a lot of fun jumping on the tramp with the sprinklers going underneath.

And of course we had to end the day with some fireworks in the driveway. Hailee's first sparkler. It made us a little nervous for her to hold the sparkler on her own, she did pretty good though and only touched it once with her other hand, but not enough to burn her.

I'm learning to blog!

I am so excited! Notice the new background? We have been blogger's for over three years. I think we were the first one's out of anyone we know. Actually, Ty started it. I have only recently begun adding posts to the blog. Now it seems everyone has started blogging and I couldn't help but notice all the cute blog backgrounds everyone has! Well, since this is Ty's blog too (or mostly his since he started it and he posts most frequently), I have to make sure the backgrounds I select aren't too "girly". I hope this one is ok for him. Anyway, three of my friends have started blogging and Jamie gave me the name of the site where I got this patriotic background. It's funny, they've all just started blogging and I'm having to get tips from them! Well, I'll try to take a more active role in it from now on. Our cute little Hailee...

I've been wanting to post these pictures forever, and I've been forgetting. Hailee hasn't always been cooperative while getting her professional pictures taken, but the last time we went, she did so great. She posed and did exactly what the photographer told her to do. We got these taken for my mom's birthday to put together a generational collage, so that's why the last pictures are of both of us. I just thought they turned out so cute.

Summer Activities

We have had a lot of fun so far this summer. Blake & Kaleena came to visit with their two little girls, Addy & Arya. Hailee loved having her cousin here to play with! We had a swimming party in our backyard the first day they were here.

We have completely worn Hailee out lately with all our summer activities and this picture proves it. She falls asleep instantly upon hitting the pillow.

We took Hailee and Addy to the Dinosaur Park. I didn't think about "prepping" Hailee ahead of time, I just told her we were going to the "Dinosaur Park". Hailee started screaming when we tried to get her out of her stroller to get a drink of water and when we asked her what was wrong, she said "the dinosaurs are going to get me!". My bad...we had to explain they were all just pretend and she eventually warmed up and even walked over to touch some of them.

We threw a shower for Bryce's fiance, Jen, at my house (more pictures of that later), but I just had to post this one. Hailee was thoroughly enjoying the shower cake that Kaleena made.
