I'm Bringing Home A Baby Dinosaur!

To the tune of the bumble bee song, "I'm bringing home a baby dinosaur, won't my mommy fall right on the floor..." Hailee's been singing that all week. This week at her school was dinosaur week. They learned all about dinosaurs and with that came her VERY FIRST field trip! As excited as she was to go to the dinosaur park, I think she was most excited to get to ride the big yellow school bus! I didn't attend the field trip, but I went to see her off, so I got a few pictures of her excitement.
Thought this picture needed an explanation. This is when she realized I wasn't standing behind her anymore, but I still thought she looked so cute getting on the bus.

Mother's Tea

Hailee wanted to have a Mother's Tea Party this year to honor the mother's (and Grandma's) we love (ok, so what if I gave her the idea?). It was so much fun. Everyone came dressed up, we got out the fancy china and served hot chocolate for the tea, with french vanilla creamer in the sugar bowl and milk in the cream dispenser so the kids could put in all the special fixin's and stir it up. We made yummy tea sandwiches and I attempted petit fours, which did not look good, but they did taste good.
This is Hailee, her cousin Abby, and her friend Addy.It was so fun. We wanted to do something special for our mom's/grandma's who do so much for us from providing a listening ear when I need it, to kissing the owee on Hailee's knee, from hosting numerous Sunday get together's, birthday's and special occasions to jumping at the chance to babysit anytime we need because they love being with the kids. We couldn't ask for anyone better! Thank you to my mom's for being the best!

Barbeque Birds

When springtime showed up, we noticed some suspicious activity on our deck next to our grill. Twigs and bird poop all over the deck. So where were the birds?
We took the cover off the grill only to find this!
After a discussion with Ty about how I'd rather buy a new grill than to ruin the nest, he won and we cleaned it up. We left the cover off so they wouldn't come back to build the nest again. However, the next day we still kept seeing birds all over our deck. We thought they were just checking to see if the cover was back on so they could go back to work until we opened the grill and found this!

Easter

I have tons of pictures of Easter that are just so cute I had a hard time cutting them down. I am going to skip the descriptions though since they're all pretty self explanatory and since kids across America are all doing the same things...Easter egg hunts, dying easter eggs, wearing pretty dresses, etc. We had a great time and seriously got spoiled rotten by not just the Easter Bunny, but our own parents too! Thanks to both our families for making our Easter so much fun!
