Summertime's in Full Swing!

Hailee has reached an important milestone! She finally hit 20 lbs. and actually got to turn facing forward in her car seat! As you can see, she loves it! She doesn't have to stare at the back seat anymore.

She has a lot of new favorite activities since it's summertime. I'm sure like most kids, they involve water and sand. As you can see, she has no problems getting wet.

We turned one of my square-foot gardens into a sandbox. We've found that naked is best for this activity.

Just a darn cute picture of Hailee "cheesin" it.

We took Hailee on her first trip to the zoo on Memorial Day and she loved it! In this picture she's looking at the monkey's and she learned how to say "oo, oo, ah, ah" like a monkey.

She wanted to climb in for a closer look.

Near the end of the day while we were waiting in line to see the white crocodile, AKA "The Ghost of the Bayou", she started to get tired and decided she would just take a nap right there on the ground.

She loved pretending to be a little prairie dog and riding the train.

"Where's Daddy?......There he is!"

Again with the napping:)

Hailee's getting very good at making her fish faces. She knows that's what Grandma Shreeve does, so everytime she sees Grandma, she makes this face.

Spring Pictures

Here is the latest round of pictures for you to check out. It's been springtime in full swing around our house and we have been enjoying the nice, sometimes hot, weather. Hailee loves to be outside and loves to do almost anything, play in her new sand box and swim. As always you can click each picture for a larger version.

For some reason Hailee loves to play with buckles, she finds them everywhere, in her bike trailer (below) or restaurant high chairs, car seats and her stroller. We even bought her a stand alone strap complete with a buckle for her to take wherever she goes.

Here is Hailee enjoying a day at the park with her friend York.

Hailee received a new table and chairs to play with from her cousins, The Stones in Arizona (Thank You). It was painted to match her room and she loves to play with the plastic food, plates and utensils, even when she should be getting dressed.

Grandma and Grandpa Gibson brought Hailee a very nice gummy rat as a souvenir from New York. It was promptly disposed of by her.

Hailee loves to be outside and to swim and play in the water. She has a new swimming pool this year and she was able to try it out on a hot weekend.

Brooke will probably request that I take this picture down, but I like it. This is Mother's Day morning, Hailee made Brooke a book (Brown Bear, Brown Bear) and Hailee and I bought her a new camera.

Grandma Shreeve brought Hailee a souvenir from Cleveland, her first night shirt.

Again with the buckles on Brooke's backpack.

Long Time

It's been a while since I made a blog post. Things have been pretty busy around our house lately and although I haven't had much time, I haven't had much to say either (if you can believe that). So here is a few little snippets.

I haven't seen a lot of movies lately, I did rent Blood Diamond and I really liked it. Maybe I will make time for a full review, but I would give it 4 stars off the top of my head. I am excited for a few movies this summer, of course Harry Potter 5 looks great (check out the trailer online) and I am excited to see the "ending" of the Pirates franchise. I think Spiderman 3 looks good, but it will be a while before I check it out.

I don't have much music interests to look forward to this summer, I got the new Tori Amos album but I haven't made it through the whole thing yet, it's good so far. I don't really listen to the radio anymore so I don't find new bands that way, I usually find new bands from going to concerts, but I haven't been to many concerts lately either. So for now, I put my iPod on shuffle and take what I get.

Brooke and I went to go see the Mythbusters in person last weekend. It was fun and really cool to see them up close. If you haven't seen the show, check it out on Discovery, it's pretty funny and you actually learn stuff.

Hailee got a "Scuttle Bug" the other day and she really likes it. It is like a trike/scooter kind of thing. It's fun and I am sure we will post some pictures shortly. She loves to be outside in the nice weather and she even thinks it's fun to watch me mow the lawn. I think she is going to have a great time this summer, she is old enough to have some fun running and playing.

I have been riding my bike a lot lately and training up to do a 33 mile version of the Salt Lake Century in a couple of weeks. It's been fun riding and it feels good to get out and get some exercise. Wish me luck.

Well I want to wish all the Mother's a Happy Mother's Day this weekend and we will be sure to get some pictures or something interesting up soon. In the meantime check out Digg if you are bored. I use Digg quite a bit when I am bored and looking for something funny or interesting to read or see.
