Merry Christmas from J.K. Rowling?

What? Yes, one of our favorite authors has given us an early Christmas gift. The title of Harry Potter book 7 has been released as is official.
If you want to know, highlight the text below.

>Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows<

So now it's time to start speculating. I think the title is cool and it sounds very intriguing, yes I will be reading it the day it's released. I am sure there will be more leaks and details to come before the book is released. Let me know what you think of the title in the comments.

300

Check out this trailer for the movie 300. This has to be one of the most stylish movies I have ever seen a trailer for. It looks visually amazing and actually the movie looks pretty good as well. You could take any frame from this trailer and it looks like a piece of art. Try it.

Order of the Phoenix Teaser Trailer

The Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix teaser trailer is out now. Go check it out and let me know what you think.
For a teaser trailer I think it is pretty good. Looks like lots of good action and at least a couple good shots of some new characters, Bellatrix and Umbridge especially. I also noticed that it looks as if Fred and George's escape from Hogwarts is included, that was a part of the book I really want to see on screen. There are some other cool scenes including occlumency and possibly fight at the ministry and D.A. scenes.
It was very nice of them to release the movie on my birthday next year, cool. It's not my favorite Harry Potter book, but it is a good one with a lot of important events and due to it's length it should be interesting to see how it translates to film.

Hailee's Party!!!

We had Hailee's 1st Birthday Party on Saturday. I have included below a whole bunch of pictures and descriptions. The party was a great success and Hailee seemed to have a great time. She was very excited and happy throughout the party. Brooke and I also had a really good time, although it was a pretty crazy night for us. We both want to thank everyone who helped us out, came to the party and of course gave gifts to Hailee.

Brooke and Hailee while we were still setting up a few things. Hailee had to make a grand entrance with her fancy fur coat.

Here is a shot of everyone having a good time eating.

Of course Hailee needed her dinner as well, Pizza and Bread sticks.

For some of the bigger kids we had an Elmo pinata. Here is Abby taking a good swing.

The pinata didn't last very long, Janzten is behind there trying to take out some of the remaining pieces.

Josh took a nice swing and finished off the pinata.

Hailee was very festive with her Elmo hat and was patiently waiting for her own personal birthday cake.

Hailee made an attempt at blowing out candles for the first time, but she did have some help.

She was a little timid at first but it didn't take her long to get the taste of frosting.

As she was eating the cake, Hailee enjoyed squishing the cake between her fingers and flailing her hands wildly as people cheered.

There wasn't a whole lot of cake left, well at least not much frosting was left by the time she was through. A lot of it ended up scattered across the floor, but I am sure she had enough in her stomach to satisfy.

The bounce house was enjoyed by kids of all ages. Hailee had a good time bouncing and rolling around in there with her friends and Grandpa Shreeve.

Hailee was excited to open gifts, that was until she opened her first toy. After that Brooke had to open most of the other toys by herself.

A brand new car from Grandma and Grandpa Gibson that Hailee would not stop pushing around the gym.

If you haven't noticed this was an Elmo themed party for Hailee. She loves all things Elmo and in turn received several great Elmo gifts. Below a Dr. Elmo doll from Aunt Cami.

Hailee got a CD from Me, Rockabye Baby: Lullaby Renditions of Tool. Many of those at the party were curious about this CD. For more information click here. There is quite a collection of these and they work great for nap time.

Grandma Shreeve gave Hailee a Little Mermaid push car that she loved to push around the gym ,and subsequently over the weekend, down the hall over and over at home.

Hailee got a Elmo chair to sit in while she watches Elmo's World. The chair even giggles and shakes. She loves Elmo so much that each time a new Elmo gift was unwrapped she had to give him a big hug.

Brooke and I gave Hailee the TMX, Tickle Me Elmo 10th Anniversary Edition. It is seriously a very cool toy and Hailee has had a lot of fun playing with it since she received it on Saturday.

Getting a ride in the car from Grandpa Gibson.

Finally at the end of the party, Hailee hopped in her car like she was going to drive herself home.

Happy Birthday Hailee!!!!

Today is Hailee's 1st Birthday. It's unbelievable that it's been a year already, when I look at her it's crazy how big she is and how fast it's gone. But when I look at pictures from a year ago, it seems so long ago. Brooke and I say all the time how strange it is that she isn't even a baby anymore, she is a little kid.
Here are a few pictures from that day a year ago. We have a whole bunch of festivities planned for this weekend to celebrate the big day. I will be sure to post pictures.
Here are some links to previous posts, Hailee's first year in pictures is chronicled quite well here on the blog.

2006 Halloween Party

It's that time of year again. We have already had a couple of Halloween parties, so here are a couple of pictures of the Halloween season so far. (Click for a larger version)

Here is Hailee in one of her costumes for the year, a Duck.

Hailee and Mom getting ready for Hailee's first Halloween Party.

Here is Hailee with a couple of her friends, Oakley and York, all decked out in their costumes.

Ok, this has nothing to do with Halloween. But this picture of Hailee getting ready for church was so cute that I just had to post it.

Here is Brooke and I in our costumes for the party. We decided that because we hadn't been anything scary yet, we would be dark this year. We are scary Vampires.

Here is a group picture from the party last night, we had a great time. The party was a roller skating party at Classic Fun Center in Layton. Being at Classic Skating quickly reminded us all of our childhood memories. I know we all have a Classic Skating memory or two.

Here are the party planners, Kirk, Marcy and Maren. The costumes are homemade 3 Amigo's costumes.

Here is the scary, vampire Brooke with the third Amigo, Maren.

Hailee, Hailee, Hailee!!

This is my (Brooke's) debut! Of course it would be about Hailee. Hailee seems to have all of a sudden turned into a little girl now instead of a baby. It happened overnight. I just wanted to share some recent pictures with you!

Daddy's little girl: Hailee out for her evening walk wearing the cutest jammies ever from Grandma Gibson.
Mom's been having fun experimenting with new hair do's now that Hailee has more hair. Hailee loves to look at herself in the mirror after she's all ready and always smiles because she looks so cute!
Grandpa Shreeve went to Hawaii and brought back this darling dress for Hailee!

Now that Hailee's more mobile, she is always getting into mischeif!
It's getting cold outside!!
