Tour De France

The Tour De France is starting on Saturday. This will be the last year for Lance Armstrong the 6 time winner of the Tour. He is, of course, attempting to make his last year count setting his sights on the yellow jersey. If anyone hasn't watched cycling or the Tour De France before, I highly recommend that you do. This is a very fun and exciting sport to watch, not to mention your last chance to see Lance race. OLN is the station that you will find your best coverage on, they do a good job and air the stages several times a day. Most of the best coverage is early in the morning but they do air repeats. Those of you who enjoy Tivo, as I do, set up a season pass and you won't miss a thing.
There are many resources on the Internet to find info on the Tour. You can just search for Tour De France in the google search box on my page.
Here are a couple of links to get you started. For the beginners, check out the Bicycling.com link for a Glossary of cycling terms, so you know what they mean when they say things like Peleton.

I'm glad someone is as excited about the tour as I am. For anyone that thinks the Tour is lame (like I did until last year), just watch it. It is extremely compelling. I was totally hooked last year. The crowds are insane, the European announcers are good and funny, there are lots of cool story lines and Armstrong is unbeleivable to watch.
