My Favorite Things II

Once I shared a few of my favorite things with you. Now it's time for more! Sometimes it's the little things that just make you giddy, so you have to just go all out and let yourself enjoy them! You can click on each of these pictures below to go to their official sites.

Threading. Ok, so it hurts like a &%($!, but no more than waxing or tweezing. The fabulous thing about this method of removing eyebrows and other facial hair is how much it improves my appearance. I don't know what it is, but somehow it just shapes my eyebrows in a way that I've never had from other methods. I get mine done at a kiosk in the mall.

Netflix. It's just awesome. If you like movies, you just have to try it. For a while, every time we were giving a gift, this is what we gave. You know, you just want everyone to experience the same things you enjoy, right. Well, every single person continued their subscription. Not only is it so convenient to just be able to toss the DVD in the mailbox when you're done watching and having a new one arrive within two days, but the streaming alone is worth it. If you have an XBox, Wii or Apple TV, you can stream movies to your TV. If not, you can just stream them to your laptop. It's awesome. What else can I say?

The Pioneer Woman Cooks: This is my favorite cookbook ever. This is not just a book of recipes. This woman has stories in here about her life on a farm, which is hilariously written since she grew up a "city girl". She also has step by step pictures on how to create each recipe. It's perfect for someone like me, who reads cookbooks cover to cover. Reading each step of the recipes is entertaining in itself because she's so funny and real. I also now subscribe to her blog, which is one of my favorite things to read when I have a spare minute. Oh, and the recipes in this book are good too!
IPAD: Everyone needs one. Everyone. In any walk of life, in any circumstance. I just can't come up with any scenario in which an individual would not need this device. ChorePad: I really should do an entire post on my favorite apps, but I thought I'd at least give a shout out to this one here. They actually linked to my blog on their facebook page, I'm famous! :) This is a great app! It is extremely easy to use, customizable and the kids LOVE it! You can set up a profile for each kid, program in what chores you want them to have and how many stars each chore is worth. You can also set up any rewards you want how many stars each rewards costs. My kids have "saved their stars" to buy things like pillow pets, 30 minutes tv time, ice cream date, songs for their ipod. I've used similar apps and I love the feature that each chore can be worth different amounts since all chores are certainly not created equal! My kids love that they can easily mark off when they've done a chore and they love to watch and listen to the stars rack up on their total. "Ching, Ching, Ching!" Oh, and my kids are 2 and 5, so they don't have to be able to read since you can add graphics to every chore. Also, the creators listen to user feedback and update it all the time.

Hope you all enjoy! Let me know what things make you just hap, hap, happy!
