Hook and Fish

Here are some pictures of the two new pets in the Gibson family. My Dad has a couple of newly adopted Sulcata (African Spurred Tortoise) Turtles/Tortoises. Get more information about this species at Wikipedia here, here or here. (What is Wikipedia? Here) Click each picture for a much larger version of the tiny tortoises.

Nice looking reptiles. They are eating aggressively and enjoying the heat lamp. They really dig frozen peas and broccoli spears.

The kids are really missing having the turtles around. We might have to buy us some now.

Very neat! Were these purchased in a regular pet store? Also, how's Zeke and his "girlfriend" doing?

Cute turtles, wish they had better names, hook is ok as a last resort but Fish is not a name for man or beast.
Also Ty, since I dont know where to go in this blog to discuss really important issues I will do that here, are you watching LOST? If not I would highly recommend that you do. It seems like the kind of show you could really get into. I also suggest you try Dirty Jobs on discovery channel. Once the baby comes you will need tons of stuff on your TiVo.
PS. my fake birthday is this sunday.

The turtles were purchased at some sort of Turtle ranch while my parents were in Arizona. Zeke is doing well, hybernating in a box in the basement right now. His "girlfriend" however is back home with her owners. I am not sure they "hit it off" as well as we hoped. In fact they are most likely different breeds of tortoise so they may not have been as compatible as we thought.
In response to Krista's comments, I will be making a blog post about Lost soon, and yes I have been watching it.
