Freedom Blast

Brooke, Greg, Susan and I, went to the Freedom Blast in Salt Lake yesterday. It was really fun, we were able to see BMX/Skateboarders, Rollerbladers, (All Star Stunt Team) and a crazy high dive team. They had a really impressive ceremony with a 21 Gun Salute and F-16's flew over really low in a "Missing Man Formation". Then of course, we saw Kelly Clarkson and the fireworks. Kelly was actually pretty good (I am admittedly not a pop music fan), but I was impressed at how good she sounded at a stadium like that. She did sing to a "Backing Track", but you could tell that she could sing very well. She played a lot of her "rock" songs, which was good, but we had a bunch of little girls right behind us singing every line to every song. It was funny. The fireworks were well done, there was some technical difficulties so there was quite a while where the fireworks stopped. The All Star Stunt Team came out again to entertain until they could get the fireworks working again. It was a fun night.
