The Nest is Empty!

Well there have been some recent developments with the baby birds under our deck. One of them fell out of the nest a few days ago, and didn't survive. By the time we realized the bird was out of the nest it was too late and it was already dead. Last night one of the other two baby birds ventured out of the nest and spent some time living in our garden. We were able to get the baby bird back into the nest, however neither of the two babies wanted to stay there and the nest is now empty. Hopefully they will find a way to survive on the ground, we will make sure to make a post if we see them again.

It's common for the birds to leave the nest and hang out in bushes, trees, etc. The parents are aware of where they are, and still feed them. However, it's the most dangerous time for them because they don't fly well, and they can be easy prey for cats.
