It's only been out one day, but has already broken many records. Just the midnight showings on Wednesday night grossed $16.5 Million and after one full day, Thursday, Star Wars: Episode III, Revenge of The Sith has grossed $50 Million. Episode III beat the previous opening day record set by Spider-Man 2 by $10 Million and is also the highest grossing single day movie beating the previous record of $44 Million set by Shrek 2. This is all on a Thursday, so the weekend should bring some high numbers as well, look for Saturday to be huge. After just a single day Star Wars is already the 17th highest grossing movie of the year so far, look for it to be #1 or #2 after the first weekend alone, it will most likely be the highest grossing movie of the year and some still think it could take the #1 all time spot from Titanic, we will have to watch and see.
