Tivo

Well I figured if I am going to talk about entertainment on this site, I need to talk about something very important. Tivo. It's pretty much the best thing to happen to TV since color. We got Tivo a little over a year ago and I am afraid that now it will be impossible to ever go back. One of the best things being that we haven't watched commercials in a long time, in fact it's hard to watch TV at other people's houses because we are forced to watch commercials.

If you are thinking about Tivo or a DVR, I would suggest doing so. Even if you don't watch a lot of TV, your watching time will be more efficient. Don't worry if you have something going on Thursday night, you won't miss your programs with Tivo, just set up a season pass. Plus if you have to go to the bathroom, if the phone rings or someone (Home Teachers) stops by, just hit pause, and pick up right where you left off.

I also recommend Tivo with Direct TV, that is what we have and we really enjoy it. Although many people already have cable or digital cable, it might be more cost effective to just get a DVR from your current cable provider. Either way, you will definitely be happy you did.
